- The elimination of the Measurement of Academic Progress.
- The end of our relationship with Teach for America.
- A return to a decision-making model that empowers our teachers and fosters a more positive relationship with the Seattle Education Association.
- A re-evaluation of the role that Alliance for Education and other outside organizations play in our District.
- A comprehensive review of all Central Office employees who have ties to those outside organizations.
- The end to the outsourcing of our curriculum development.
- A freeze on all new textbook adoptions until a thorough district-wide inventory has been completed.
- A thorough examination of the Central Office's staffing numbers.
- A sane Student Assignment Plan taking into account accuracy in capacity management and student enrollment numbers
Think of this list as a start. My focus is on re-directing our limited funds toward student-centered expenditures. This list is not prioritized yet, and may change slightly. It is not set in stone.
